In Redmond
After 17 hours on the airports and airplanes I got to Redmond yesterday. I was flying from Zagreb to London, waited there for 4 hours and then got to the plane to Seattle. I must say British Airways Boeing 747 has bigger seats and they have more leg room (either that, or I got smaller :)), in-flight entertainment was also good (18 channels with movies on the monitor in the seat). Flight was quite good, we had some turbulence but nothing scary.
We landed at Seattle Tacoma airport, I got through customs with no problems, picked up my baggage and then I had to check it in again, take the train to main building and pick it up there. I took a taxi to Redmond ($55) to my apartment for next 10 days.
I am staying at Homestead apartment which is really nice (TV, kitchen, bathroom and wireless internet :)).
Today I took a bus ($1.25) to Redmond city center to look around a bit. I met a guy at bus station and asked him which bus should I take to the city. He was also going there (he said he works somewhere in the city) so I went together with him. City center isn't really big, I walked around a bit (I saw a Mac store but I didn't go in - I am still thinking if I should buy an iPod or not…), got a coffee, grabbed something to eat and now I am back in my apartment.
I emailed Misha yesterday and we're going to see a movie ("V for Vendetta") tonight with a couple of guys from VSTO team.
The conference starts next week and looks like there's going to be some great cool "things" announced.
